Welcome to Westmoor Park!
Westmoor Park is a self funded environmental education center operated by the Leisure Services Department of the Town of West Hartford, encompassing 162 acres. Our demonstration farm, wildflower meadows, perennial gardens, woodland trails, and ponds are open to the public daily.
We also offer a wide variety of educational farm and nature programing for folks of all ages, look for our current class listing on this website, or click here to Learn more >> about Westmoor Park.
The Park Trails continue to be open. Stay Healthy, Avoid Crowds, Flatten the curve.
Due to Covid-19, West Hartford Leisure Services will unfortunately have to cancel many summer programs. Full refunds will be issued. People currently registered in a program will receive an update on the status of their particular camp. We are working diligently to develop new camp options that comply with local, state and CDC guidelines. Registrations for Summer Camp on RecDesk will resume at 5:00pm on Thursday June 11th.
June Photo of the Month
We have had a "not so wild", Wild Turkey hanging around the park lately. Here he is pictured here sitting in the sun next to the back steps of the office. One of the reasons this turkey stays in the area is because dogs aren't here to chase him away. Please NOTE that DOGS are Not permitted at Westmoor Park, and BIKES are NOT permitted on the Trails. Don't forget to get outside and explore all that Westmoor Park has to offer in each season of the year.
